Cash or Travel Cheques in St Lucia?
Discussion
None!. there is 4 cash machines in Rodney bay if she is in that area.
You can always go to the the bank and get cash on your card.
EC dollar is what you need forget USD.
The Bank on of St.Lucia next to the Shell petrol station in Rodney Bay excepts most cards.
( I live in St.Lucia regularly ).
Tell her to go to Spinnakers Beach bar and ask for Christain Richings good friend of mine they own the bar and much of Rodney Bay he will show her area where to go and where not.

Would a credit card not be the best solution? It also provides a safety net in case of emergencies, and nearly everywhere takes a credit card.
She doesn't have a credit card, only a Maestro or Switch debit card. The problem is that the only way she'll get a credit card between now and when she goes in 10 days is if Dad puts her on his and I don't really want to do that.Would not bother with posting any cards. It takes a least 3 weeks and things get lost. You also need a PO Box number as there is now mail service to door.
As said if no credit card best opion is standard debit card. I survived many years on just that in St.Lucia.
Don't go out with your card just a small amount of cash espaecailly if you are going to Gros Islet jump up on Friday night.
It is a fairly safe Island but there is the odd Teeth mon knocking around.
