race can or not
Discussion
Due to being let down 1 day before my SVA I had to fit an old race can to my car for its SVA, it failed it sounds test (not really suprising!) it was 106.8dB!!!
So if you can bear it and your neighbours won't mind then go for it, I now run the proper exhaust which is around 102dB still too loud for normal track days

Have done back to back dyno runs with the blade engine and different cans.
The race can gave more peak power but the std fireblade can not only passed trackday noise limits but was also much more drivable with much better low down power delivery/spread. Race cans sound nice though.
Always best to keep a selection and fit dependent on use.
