Hi guys

Thought I would introduce myself here during the week that one of my wishes came true! This was the week that I sold my very reliable and large saloon for a E36 328i cabriolet. It is fair to say it was love at first sight!

It is a full M3 replica - now I want to point out that I generally cannot stand cars which "pretend" to be better than they are and I had every intention of putting it back to the 328i standard spec. However when I got it I realised all the trims, stearing wheel, mats, and handbrake would need to be replaced. Also it is quite amusing when people take a second glance at the lights.

There are a few niggles with the car, some absolute (swearword) has keyed the back wing, its very deep so thats a shame. The roof is in a fab condition just needs a good clean. I will have the leather interior resorted when I have some spare pennies. I must also sort the passenger window out as at the moment I cannot drive with the window closed as it keeps going up and down (as if it doesn't register when coming into contact with the roof - I think it is an issue with the door sensor.

My aim is to get it to show standard over the following few months, after years of following my dad around car meets it must be in my blood!!!

Hope to speak soon

When you say "Full M3 Replica" does that include engine suspension and Brakes etc ? or just a few cosmetic bits ?

Congrates on your new ride.

Are you sure its not just a 328i Sport? These had an M3 bodykit, M badges etc from the factory.

Hi sorry for the delay - it's been a lovely weekend to own a convertible ;-)

Yep you guess it, I am a big Sheffield United Supporter!

As far as the M3 kits goes it has the whole bodykit, exhaust system, brakes and I am told, M3 diff - however not 100% sure on that point. I have all the receipts for the work which was done over a few years - including the receipt for the guy who paid £56 for the handbrake cover etc!!!

There are a few niggles and I have remind myself that its 14 years old, having swapped my 53 plate saloon but overall I am amazed at its condition and performance.

I am now on the hunt for a hardtop in time for winter. I don't mind what colour it is as I will have it vinyl wrapped in the Montreal Blue. I'll keep my eyes pealed on the auction sites.

I will get some photos up soon - thanks for the nice welcome on here.

Sare :-)
