I know it is a fairly simple task but I am unsure of how to do it and nothing comes up on a search.

There are multiple allen bolts in the bottom of the door but are these not to hold the door together?

A quick explanation would be most helpful.

Cheers,
Mark

Undo the bolts - lift the door card off.

I tend to leave one bolt at each end of the door at the top fingertight to suppoet the card untill the rest are out, then undo the last two while holding the card. It will lift straight off. There are a couple of connectors for door button and speakers that need to be unplugged before you can remove it completely.

You also need to have the door wide open to get to the two top and bottom nearest the hinge. I found that due to its shape it will sit in the door aperture while the door is open making it easier to unplug the connectors.

As the other two said you first have to take off the complete inner side of the door by removing the bolts with an allen key and then unplugging the connectors.

Then you'll find that the moulded and padded bits are removed by opening the screws on the inside of it.

Thanks for that gents, I will tackle it tomorrow.

The rear parcel shelf, gear and handbrake gaitors, instrument binnacle, helmet holder and arm rests from the transmission tunnel have just been sent to D&C trim in the old factory to be retrimmed.
