I wasn't out in her today, but normally...
One fan on at 92°C, second at 96°C, temperature drops until both fans go off. Repeat.
You don't want to be seeing 100°C or more, but if she is cycling as above the chances are it is a sensor issue. But it might not be - get her checked to be sure; you don't want to cook that engine!
Did you have the air conditioning on? I believe the A/C radiator can compromise the main one, but at 11.30pm it seems unlikely...

Air con certainly does make it rise. I find the temperature rises the most (unsuprisingly) when at standstill...
A very knowledgeable member had a good hint for me: he said to rev the car very slightly to 1.5-2k when at standstill just to get fans moving. Plus best to sweat it out when in traffic too...air con off for me!
So far, absolutely loving my first two months of TVR-ing it. Took it over to Colchester yesterday and all the guys at the BBQ were being little excited kids, despite there "how in the world did you make it here without an AA van" jokes! Good chaps, rubbish cars in their possession though!

Yes it is bizarre. When I went out did not have the aircon on, and T's & P's normal. On the way back home ambient temp was well up towards the end of the day (and the car had been standing in the sun) so decided to switch it on halfway home.
So first part of the journey = normal temps
switched on aircon = + 2 to 3 deg !
ambient had not really changed around 30 degC
My only explanation is that aircon compressor makes the engine do more work, and consequently needs slightly more cooling.

This happened to me, and i checked for water leaks but couldnt see any until a few days later i was getting steam coming from under the bonnet, new rad time so it was upgraded, it then sat in any traffic conditions at a max of around 92 degree.
Glad to hear your still enjoing the Tiv, I do miss mine but i dont miss that over whelming feeling of whats going to go wrong next although i did upgrade everything i could, I suppose the only thing left to go would have been the engine.
