Stainless Exhaust
Discussion
I was talking to a friend this morning who has an Audi convertible (not sure of the exact model) its about 12 years old and has the V5 2.5 engine in it (goes nicely!!). The exhaust is now starting to blow and it looks as if the whole system needs replacing (excl CAT); as he is planning on keeping the car for some time yet he is thinking about a stainless exhaust so can anyone tell me who does them at sensible money??

Thanks for that John - I've been looking and it seems that there isn't anyone who does an off the shelf system as far as I can see. They are all bespoke so getting someone locally that isn't bad on price and good on quality is the answer and we may have found one near us as well so maybe sorted .. but then ....

it wont be a V5 though, unless its had a transplant. either a 2.6 or a 2.8. But possible an I5 but they stopped production before the V6's which would be 17+ years ago.
Only note depends on the car that some of the V6's had two cats others had a single. I put a full stainless on my 2.8 and opted for a free flowing single sports cat. Was more than enough. OEM cats are expensive.
