My bithday is coming up soon and I've been offered the choice of one expensive bottle or wine or a case and I'm really not sure what to go for!

At least with a case I will get 12 hopefully nice wines which will last my at least 12 days... if I go for an expensive wine (which I've never really had) I would end up with a stunning wine or a major let down.

FWIW my definition of expensive would be £100

I would go for 12 nice bottles rather than 1 very nice bottle.
I doubt you could really tell the difference.

If its for your birthday it would be nice to have something that your wouldnt ordinarly buy for yourself.
really expensive wine is often overrated unless you are a wine buff.
I would still have the one really nice bottle ......

Happy Birthday.............

100 quid spread over 12 bottles is just 12 average (or just better) wines.

I think I would go for the case ... But whatever you prefer.

I would go for a 1/2 case of 6 "nicer than the ones in the cae of 12 but not quite as nice as one expensive one" bottles.

Personally. I would go with one good bottle and 6 alright one's.

so 50 quid on one bottle and the rest on a few to drink. smile
