Canal maps

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a satnav, or maps to load onto either Garmin or TomTom, for use on the UK's inland waterway system?

Easiest thing I've found to use (on canals at least) is the appropriate Pearson's guide. Full of anecdotes about the areas you pass through, where some of the best pubs and places to eat are, as well as some history of the actual waterway.
