I normally go to Costa del Sol but fancy somewhere different in Spain. Is there anywhere anyone can think of in Spain (i.e costa blanca) that has a nice Prom, port areas, nice bars & restaurants?

we have a holiday villa there ive been going there 27 years of the 30 ive been alive i love the place.

other obvious ones are barcelona, valencia, etc

Moraira. It's a beautiful town with Marina + beach halfway between Alicante + Valencia. No English ghettos or breakfast bars, no high-rise apartments and so many quality restaurants I couldn't get to all of them in a week.

as above moraira is also a very nice town

Another one for Moraira, the roads up to the mountains are fantastic as well for a hoon.

Another place worth a look is ampuriabrava on the bay of Roses,North of Gerona whole town is built on canals, mostly Scaninavian and Germans but a good mix of Brits from the local skyding centre.

San Sebastian - awesome place!

Two main clean and sandy beaches - one for bathing, one for surfing (atlantic coast), a great promenade follow both bays, and amazing food in the pinxtos bars in the old town between the two. Cider is a local speciality, and the rioja region is an hour away, so drinking and partying is natural to this place.
