Does anyone know the differences between the Larini sports and club sport exhaust. Currently have a hurricane induction kit on s2 111s but would like to improve the sound further. Would appreciate any opinions on said systems and wether there is any performance gain or just improved sound. Thanks.

Volume. The Sport is a quieter version, although I haven't fallen foul of any noise meters with a Club Sport and Hurricane (yet). Had mine on for 3 years and it's great thumbup

I'd definitely opt for the Club Sport to give your Lotus the sound it deserves! There are a few videos on the Larini website of the 111S with stock exhaust, Club Sport and Club Sport with decat comparisons ...

I'll dig 'em out for you:

... and this for good measure ...

If that doesn't want to make you buy one, I don't know what will! wink Obviously if you're interested in other manufacturers, lots of people like Janspeed sports exhausts on the 111S - They do several variants that all differ in loudness.

I personally have a decatted Hayward & Scott; deep burble below 2.5K, deep and building rasp between 3-4.5K and at 5-6.5K it suddenly becomes insanely loud and pops on gear change biggrin

Pah! club sports are for jessies.
You need to get a Larini full race if you want to make peoples ears bleed.

Had a clubsport on for a year now having previously had the sports version. The sound is incredible but be warned it is darn loud both in and out of the car. Motorways can be a bit of a headache so bear that in mind. In fact I use musicians earplugs which also means you can still hear the stereo and all the elise squeaks and rattles disappear!

I have had the sport on for about a year and the guy at Larini reckoned for road use, the sport is well loud enough?

After about 4k miles, it is now much louder than when new and I wouldn't want any more for my usage - it turns heads as it is !

It's not loud enough until pedestrian's ears bleed and children cry as you drive past biggrin

With regard to bleeding ears and impending deafness (speaking as someone with a lotus stage 2 box on an exige S2) I get hundreds of pops, bangs, minor nuclear explosions.....is the sport/ club sport queiter- anyone had both?

It's meant to measure 108dB at 3/4 revs on the toyota engine.

It's on an Exige NA touring wink

I assume the videos linked to are of a black Elise - if so, that's my old car smile (and the videos are on my profile too).

Anyhow I'm pretty sure I had a clubsport, and it was perfect. You will not regret it smile

It(the Sport on a Toyota)wont be much quieter but you will get a lot less droning at motorway speeds and it just sounds sweeter smile

Dont do much motorway driving, just want the sound just right when going for it, without frightening the stuck up neighbours at more sensible speeds. Definately dont want anything that will shake the house just at tickover.
