Took the plunge and bought the Wilier mortirolo veloce

first racing/road bike and i'm very happy with it but need to get fit quickly!!!

had a puncture after the first 4 miles of riding it and after 15 miles riding i have a rather SORE bum!!!

any advice on what seat to have to comfort my delicate bottom!?!?!

also what is the correct PSI for cycling on pretty poor quality roads?

I'd suggest you try 90psi, any lower and you'll just slow yourself down too much.

You'll get used to the saddle, so long as you get some decent shorts! This thread may help:

comfort is a saddle/shorts combo, you need both to be happy. i am using endura fs260 bib shorts which have a very comfy pad and are a very nice piece of kit. happiness comes in the form of a SDG Formula saddle...

also have a look at what angle you seat is at, its common to have it mirror the top tube but its all personal preference and also see what suits your bits with regards to how far forwards or backwards the seat is on the post....

fizik saddles are always getting good reviews but the charge spoon is also very comfy apparently.

I have a Spoon on my Ribble & has been very comfortable for all the rides I have done on it. Longest distance was a 30 miler a couple of weeks ago.
