Yes it was panned at the cinema and it isn't a great film, yet it still makes me chuckle every time I see it.

To be honest last time I watched it I cringed more than laughed the music is still great though.

this goes down as the only film (so far) that has caused me to walk out of a cinema before the end. Truly terrible!
