I've included a couple of pics of my girlfriends swift which has developed a small rust patch in the middle of the bonnet. I'm wondering if there is any way to treat the rust and cover the patch (touch up kit?) without respraying the whole bonnet?
You could treat it as a stone chip and get a colour stick and dab it untill you protrude the paintwork slightly then wet sand it back so its smooth and machine polish the sanding marks out. Failing that a respray is the only way.
Bilt Hamber Deox Gel - apply, cover with clingfilm for 24 hours, rinse off, dry, then as Robbie says, touch up kit from dealer or bodyshop, with clearcoat. Drop of primer too - it'll make it very much less noticeable but not invisible.
