First ever post for me on here.

ARNOLD CLARK FIAT KIRKCALDY, fife- SATURDAY 22ND AUGUST- ALL WELCOME.

Following on from the successful launch of Fiat 500 and Fiat 500 convertible, a day will be held to celebrate Italian sport and classic and modern cars.

The following cars and events have already been confirmed.
-Fiat 500 Abarth and Fiat Grande Punto Abarth Available for Complimentary Test drives all day.
-New Fiat 500 convertible available for viewing and test drive.
-Lancia Delta Integrale Evo and Classic Fiat 500 on display. OTHER VEHICLES REQUIRED.. Please reply if you have an interesting italian marque.
-we require some italian exotica so if you don't mind your car being on display to the public here's your chance to get some free publicity.
-Local press in attendance.
-Free ice cream and pizza all day made by italians!(fantastic)
-We are also in the process of trying to get the local emergency services and breakdown services to attend for free advise on how to change a tyre to how to carry out CPR.
-A flyer is being created as we speak and will be available to hand out to you all.

I am really looking for your help to make this event. Being a Ford enthusiast(I know, sorry!!!) i've been to many enthusiast supported events which are always a good day out. I really need to know by Friday who would like to display their car in the showroom on site. Remember thisnis open to all so they don't have to be concours to qualify!

Please reply if you're interested in attending this event or supplying a vehicle for display.

Thanks
Tony Higgins

ps here's a pic of the garage! Enjoy!

I should be able to make this one as I will actually be on shore.
What time should people show up?
I have a 1971 Alfa Spider 1750. It is quite far from concorse.
Also do you have directions to your garage?
Cheers.

Its next to ASDA if you know Kirkcaldy at all, not far off the A92.

I could be up for this and can maybe get a few other interesting Alfas along.

I think I'm free that day and I'm only 15 mins away.......but really the free Ice Cream made my mind up!

Here's is the copy of the mailshot and flyer which will be going out to over 900 people.

Can i stress this is only the draft and some nice further touches will be added beofre going to print on Friday.

This flyer will also be circulated round as many of the local italian fraternity as possible so we are hoping for a great turnout.

We will also be providing free passenger rides in both grande punto and 500 abarth models as we have ABARTH visiting for one weekend only!!!

Iam looking to compile a confirmed list of attendances for the weekend and putting an attendance post up of all attendees as well as a photo of their car.

If you would like to attend can you please wherever possible send me a photo of your car and your name so i can post it up.

I am hoping to be in attendance at the Italian Car and Bike Weekend on 16th August at hopetoun House with an interesting vehicle so hope to meet a few of you there.

Thanks for looking, here's the mailer

Thanks Tony

Just had a thought, is this thread in the scotland section? You might get some more coverage there as well. And from folk who may not come in here regularly.

Ok, Thanks to everyone for coming along today, really appreciate the help!

We managed to take the abarth out on over 20 test drives.

I've attached some pics of the attendees from today.

Helen, Thanks for coming all the way from Stonehaven today! It was a long trip but hopefully the Pizza and Ice cream were worth it! Your Alfa Spider is a car that I'd love to have if I could have a dream garage! Then I'd take it out on sunny days for drives to down long winding country lanes!

Philip, Love the GTA, especially the interior, hopefully get that other half of yours a fiat 500 sorted!! Can you please get me more of those leaflets to display in the garage for the forum. If you want to borrow a 500 let me know.

Jim/Kevin, This is now my ambition in life! I will own a ferrari!!! I think I've found what will move me away from my Ford love! Jim, I think I might start making exhausts for a living!

Kevin, thanks for taking me out in the 355! Made my day! The first Ferrari I've been in, thanks for that.

Valente's of Kirkcaldy provided the Ice Cream, which, as usual was excellent!!!

Roll on tomorrow for more Ice Cream and Pizza.

Anyone else wanting a test drive in Abarth please come along tomorrow!

I will upload some photos asap

Wow.. a new Forum. Hopefully if we can sort something out with the 500C then I can add this one to my Favourites List.

Thanks for a good morning Tony.
I didn't realise you fancied a blast in the Ferrari. Would have been more than happy to accomodate anyone wanting a wee run. I don't really need too many excuses to drive it. Tell folk not to be shy next time round smile
Hope tomorrow goes as well.

Jim

OK folks, sorry for taking so long to update the photos but here goes!!

I've already started to consider next year and have hopefully gained a few more fiat(dennis)/ferrari(jim) and alfa contacts(philip). Hopefully you can provide support again and we can have more.

Taking feedback on the day I feel the next one will be when I've got the Sales Manager in so I can enjoy/converse a little more(apologies). We would also make the event over one day to concentrate attendance to one day. Now I will hopefully be able to utilise my new contacts to call their contacts to increase attendance.

By far the best turnout was through the forums and net so thanks to all you enthusiasts, roll on next year!!

Our demo for the day! I'm going to purchase a 500 for next year!

Jim's Ferrari(renmure)-beautiful car and exhaust(work of art)

The new fiat 500 engine bay!(renmure's ferrari again!)

Helen(alfachick)-1971 alfa spider 1750-beautiful car, thanks for coming down from stonehaven, hope you made it home!

Philips(p17gta) 147 gta 3.2 v6-love the interior

I think this made his day!

Ok, here's some more pics from Sunday too. 2 beautiful wee classic 500's.

The grey one is owned by local restaurant owner Valente's. There is an absolut brilliant story as to how it got to Scotland. Thanks Valente's for also providing the Ice Cream for the weekend! Beautiful proper italian ice cream!

Definately the most popular vehicle of the weekend!

Dennis and Diana's very nicely finished original rhd 1964(i think) fiat 500, really nice car. This vehicle was voted car of the day at Hopetoun House Italian car and bike day 16/08/09

Also Scott's Very nice Alfa 147 Ducati, nice alloys and colour

All in all a very good day,

Helen, just waiting on your address if possible, thanks

Tony
