Just a few snaps from this year's GRRC Open Day.

Full index

DB6, with some dodgy looking friends hunting around:

It's an Alfa... but what is it?

Yes, it has a huge 37bhp!

And where did the current owner buy this gem?

I was on the road earlier in the morning and drove past Goodwood house while the owners were driving in to setup. This was in front of me... towing a caravan!

The following cars were in the car park:

Those dodgy looking characters are obsessed with TVRs:

Hmm, expensive plate?

This won car of the day, beating the Alfa van by two votes:

Not many of these about:

A brew I'd never heard of:

But it ended in disaster!

Sinclair, sorry to have missed you - mind you I heard the "hospitality" was flowing so I guess you were mostly in the house wink Jeremy great to see you again, and you said all the right things about garage space, shame your Moggie didn't make it though... frown

Here's a few of my snaps

These E-Types made a lovely pair

Also a nice Bristol, shame there wasn't two of them wink

I think this was my favourite of the day though - you can just about see it behind that Alvis blocking the view rolleyes

And like everyone I loved the Alfa van!

Cheers Rich...

Really Sorry to hear about the traveler I saw the green sheet behind the girls desk and thought, hang on I have not seen a Moggy Woodie in the line up. Really sorry to see you didn't make it.. I know just how you feel having had some thing like that happen to me in the past. I was driving to Goodwood praying for the car to keep going..

Hope it's an easy fix for you..

Here's a few of my shots

Came on the A283 through Petworth, picking up the tail of an Aeromax/996 GT3 convoy.

It is getting to be a bit of theme isn't it Rich, odd really given it's not exactly a huge event - next year we will have to arrange a specific time an place readit

Finally, one I took of the lovely 912

thanking you very much I have put that in my file.

Was a great day, just a shame my car was in the shade as it just does not do the colout justise. It's needs sun on it to show the depth off. As you can see in the pictures in front of the house there.

I was just shocked to find out so many people didn't know what a 912 was? I love that event such a nice change to look at differenet cars and enjoy all the classic side rather than just another Porsche gathering time after time. Can't wait till next year..

Thanks - it is an easy fix, just couldn't be repaired by the roadside. frown

No that is an easy roadside fix - a simple whack with a hammer. smash

The radiator decided to spring a leak too big for radweld (or indeed the AA man's instant metal) to fix. frown

Sinclair - Cerby looking gleaming and immaculate and good to see you flying the TVR flag. I loved showing my Tuscan last year, so next year now needs to see another TVR to make it three years in a row for a Tiv presence. Sad to have missed this years open day as a great day out for all and some smashing cars on display.
