Been looking today at the new lower priced LS3 VXR8. Can someone tell me why the big price drop.

I am unsure which version to buy M or Auto. My wife will use the car around the local roads and in traffic in town, is the clutch heavy on the manual as only been out in an auto.

Whats the auto box like for track days and general having fun. Cant wait, money burning a hole in my pocket!! Who has the best deal, looking for white! Thanks Luke

The clutch on the manaul is fine, but you'll be lucky to find any more new ones for sale, I think they are all gone.

I managed to get a deposit down on one last week, even then it was a struggle, although there were a couple of dealers that still had manual cars then but with a limited choice of colour.

Though from what I've read there's nothing wrong with the auto, it's thats what you end up with.

Manual is fairly light on the controls compared with the Monaro but maybe mid range compared with most cars.

Cant speak for the auto, but I would never use an auto on track myself. Others will no doubt be along in a minute to recommend the sofware upgrade for the auto box.

Price drop seems to be a combination of Vauxhall raising cash as quickly as possible, and having a bunch of VXR8's which were not moving ..... until they dropped the price twice inside 2 months, selling quick it seems now. Most manuals have gone, you would be lucky to find a white one now. More autos seem to be left.

Go get, you'll love it.

If you want an auto Forest Gate Vauxhall in Corby (Northants) have red black and Evoke for £22.5k

If you are interested call Brian and he will sort you out. I put a deposit on an Evoke on friday. They are selling fast though so be quick.

The clutch is very light on the manual although the gear change is quite heavy/slow, but you've got to expect that with a 6.2 litre engine I guess.
Try Picador in Southampton and definitely order with the switchable Wortec exhaust!
