Steering knock help

My steering has developed a knock when moving from one lock to the other, feels like its in the dash end of the column, any ideas?

Mine has had the same since I got it eff eff

I've replaced both UJs and the steering intermediate shaft in case the splines were worn and could do these in my sleep now.
I've also got the bolts under the dash as tight as I can get them.

Yours could be any of these.

Someone mentioned to me at the Growl it could be something to do with the suspension rather than the steering - a spring shifting.
I haven't looked into this yet.

Have you checked the roller bearing sat top of steering column....Fords suffer with this

I've had the car from new and like yours Ian its always has a slight knock, Its suddenly got much more noticable I will check out the dash mounting bolts and bearing, just a thought maybe the rack is shifting I'll check those mounts too.
