Cheers for the offer of the touch Lee, bit I kind of hit a curb doing about 60 through a tight chicane and really made a mess of it. Absolutely gutted!

Crap.

Hitting curbs at that kind of speed does not do the wheel much good. I'm guessing a bit more than a touch of paint then? I'd also check to make sure the wheel isn't buckled.

Worst case scenario, then its £200 for a new wheel.

I have good things about laptab, although they are ny no means the cheepest. I can tell you Dave with the pearl yellow Sag has his powder coated at laptab very recently.

Out of curiosity i just phoned a supplier to find out what it would cost to replace just one of my wheels (if i ever damaged one).....he gave me a ball park figure of between £800-£900, and yes that is just for one wheel!!!!

the wheels are called "trafficstar dtm" there seems to be no-one that can give me a reasonable price.

I meant £200, and they are not spiders. For info, racing green are flogging recon'd spiders for about £180 a corner.

Just got a quote back from Labtab. For repairing a section off alloy (not a full refurb) it £100. That does seem a bit steep, esp considering the alloy itself was £200!

May have to look else where i think.....

Laptab are happy to negociate but ring around first. You will find that it is going to cost you at least £100 all in.

Removing the tyre and putting it back on and balancing it would be about £10, thats a tenth of the cost.

I've got one of htose kyeboards as well

New Spiders can be had for £125 though!

A kerb repair should be no more than 50 squids and should not be noticable after the whole wheel has been polished.

Racing Green do a wheel exchange for about £90 IIRC, may be woth a try.

How wierd is that...it took me ages to find out even what kind of wheels they are!!!!
