Hot door handles, handbrake and gear knob.......

on my Griff - this weekend.........never really noticed it before - haven't had it long.

Is that normal? The door handles were 'almost' too hot to touch! Handbrake medium hot, gearstick just a bit hot.....

a problem I should look our for.........or feature? :-)

i'm driving it to South of France on Saturday.......so just checking!

the gearstick on my cerb gets too hot to touch when its left ticking over when hot (especially if the sun is on it too). handbrake gets fairly hot too, think its normal due to where the engine and gearbox is positioned.

grooovy - thats what I figured........just wondered if there was some known fault that caused them to heat up.......but it has to be to do with the heating routing etc I would think

My gear stick knob on my Mk2 Tuscan has reached branding temperatures in the last three weeks in Spain.
Also window buttons and basically all ally bits.

In the winter my hand freezes on the the gear knob, until the heater warms it up, and in the sun it brands the gearshift info on to my palm. Perhaps we need to wear driving gloves!!
