Any know about coffee machines?
Discussion
Okay I've got an old krups 866 combination coffee machine that was given to me aeons ago thats been used for filter coffee and nowt else for years.
Recently we tried to use the milk frother nozzle which isn't working properly, and I noticed from looking at simular models that the "frothing aid" attachment is missing, part "G" shown on a similar model here.
Will this prevent the milk frothing, and if I can't replace it with the proper part what will suffice? Will a simple hollow tube do it's job or is it more complicated than that? Seems a shame to bin the thing given they retail at a couple of ton.
thanks Ben

I use a Krups machine at work and it doesn't have a "frothing aid" and I am pretty sure you don't actually need it.
I think it may be a problem with the heat pipe being blocked, some times the heating pipe gets a bit blocked and doesn't froth properly, normally I use a safety pin to clear it out and it always seems to work.
Hope that helps.
