Blue Efficiency?
Discussion
Just popped over to Brooklands Merc' World to scope out possible daily hack replacement.
I'm slightly confused by the diesel engine range...as was the 12 year old employee I spoke to ("only the C180 petrol is available in Blue Efficiency...").
The Merc' website lists the C220 CDI 'BeF' in estate guise only, and C250 CDI as the smallest 'BeF' engines for the saloon. Is there no longer to be such a thing as a C220 CDI 'BeF' saloon (my lease company's price list for 2010 MY says that there is)?
Also of concern to me is that the website suggests the 'BeF' improvements in efficiency are partly due to thinner glass and reduced sound damping material; does anyone know what this does for the refinement at (continental) motorway speeds?
Does anyone on PH work for a Merc' dealer?
TIA

Well, they're "Es", but you're right, the financing page does show a C220 CDI BeF...While I'm at at, am I missing something, or is the 'car configurator' buried ridiculously deep in their website?
