Too much Pleney.
Neil, the roadgap isn't that big at all, maybe 15ft out and a drop of 8ft? You can go bigger off it as the landing is long, the hard bit is slowing down for the berm after.
The really big stuff is on the other side of the hill, the slopestyle course is nuts.
We just got back after 2 weeks riding

You can go a *lot* faster than they were.....
Some of the stuff in Morzine & Les Gets is super-hard and insanely technical, but a lot of the trails (especially the marked ones) shown in that video are really not that hard. Steep, yes, and rutted as hell, but not that challenging, in the dry at least. Not to piss on anyone's chips, but last year I took my kids down many of those runs you see in the YouTube clip.
OK, they had armour, good freeride bikes - Kona Stinky Juniors work well - and are reasonably handy, but they're 11 and 9. They weren't fast, but they kept it flowing and didn't crash that much.

I sometimes forget just how big some people’s internet testicals are. I really liked that vid!
I've recognised most of those trails, 10% got a lot of screen time!! YouTube just doesn't do justice to how steep that is, not to mention making it look much slower.
Just gutted all over again I missed it this year, bloody terrible timing.
Whistler for me next year with luck and a fair wind! Just as long as I can fight of my surgeon fusing my bloody elbow in place. I think he'll have to resort to firearms for me to agree to it.
At the other end of the skillz spectrum....

This crash started before he even stepped on the plane, that's ugly.
Get you and your s
t off the trails before you cause an accident yah great big muppett! Grrr

I'd agree with that. I wouldn't be anything like that fast, but at least a couple of the guys I ride with wouldn't struggle to outpace them. Certainly looks like nice riding terrain though! I didn't realise the Chatel Gap was that small - I'd heard fables of it being massive?
It's not *that* small....
clearly, this is not me
Hardly huge. And ramps are cheating

I agree nice vid, nice editing but nothing plenty of other people couldnt do!!
Not slow but average, the long switch backs hold much higher speeds for me, but that comes down to just letting go more then skill. They where sessioning the whole track and the walking back up to get better shots etc so I wouldnt say thats 100% for either of the riders. Now on a non filmed run where they just nail it from top to bottom I am sure they would be quicker.
I am gutted because Morzine for this year is over for me, that and the rebound on my totems have gone and I have a holiday booked with me and the GF and have no funds to fix them
I keep dreaming of nailing the Pleney at the moment.

Great vid!
Chatel isn't in Morzine or Portes do Soleil - it is in Three Valleys and I think the gap is deffo bigger than the morzine one.
Vid of Chatel here (a mate, not me!):

Afraid you are mistaken there chap, Chatel is not in the 3 valleys, it is part of the PdS & that vid is of the same gap that we're talking about.
