Guys anyone know the spec of the Ultima Fuel Sender?
Im looking at an after market fuel gauge but im told it only works with

100 or 500 ohm range sender units does this sound right?

Cheers

Does the AIM dash not have a gauge built in or are you doing a seperate gauge on the dashboard. Would have thought the AIM would be programmable so you tell it what resistance various levels of fuel are.

Try Europa they have a good selection of vdo senders in stock.

This is the gauge the factory use. 0-90 ohm resistance. Europa at Tutbry sell them, although i had to replace mine and found the best price at the factory.

an adaption of this circuit may allow the sender unit to work with your gauge. It will alow for a small change in resistance to be detected by the gauge as a larger change.

Hi Dave

Im just waiting for the dash to arrive today to see what where and size etc.

The gauge i was thinking of is the Koso Mini Fuel Meter, but alas it is designed for bikes with the sender range being 100 - 500 ohms.

Ill check the dash and make a decision from there.

Cheers

Hi Spatz,

Looks good, ive opted for the Aim Dash

Im guessing it will have everything i need but until i see it today i wont know for sure. Even so i thin ill still be happier with a larger fuel gauge, i dont particulary want to run out of fuel and im guessing if its a small display it maybe over looked. The gauge i was looking at did have the same look compared to the dash.
