s50 tappet ajustement

even though my car has only done 40,000 miles and has full bmw service history ive just cheacked the tappets as im a x bmw tec left in 2002, and found all but 3 out off spec.
so phoned my local bmw dealers all 3 dont carry the shims in stock or even the gasket.
just proves a point that when u take your car in for a lev 2 service that thay dont cheak the tappet as all 3 needed to vor the parts overnight so if thay did your car right thay would need it for at lest 2 day

yep most places regard adjusting the clearances an extra to inspection II, and they are recommended to be checked/done every OTHER inspection II.
