Just been doing yet more research for various photoshoots..

Come across this: http://www.content-delivery.co.uk/aviation/airfiel...

Does anyone know anything more about this airfield?
Could be worth checking out..

Thanks smile

fk bks st!!!!!!! I spent 15 min writing a reply, fking PH servers decide to ask for a login, and lost the lot.

Yes, I know about it, you probably can get access, and I might have photos of the airfield I took about 5 years ago.

Be aware:

"Yeah that's Wisley. No goer really ( unless tarmac is your thing!). I surveyed it over a year ago. There is a substantial stretch of runway but it has a public footpath running through the middle of it. This is made of armco barrier. The fields have been split up between several farms and contain different crops. I tried to find out who the owner is but drew a blank. I believe that the council may own it now. There has been 3 planning applications recently (20 years); low cost housing, waste incinerator and car boot sales. The first 2 failed and the 3rd was withdrawn. "

I might be able to sort something for RAF Odiham runway if thats what your looking for. It would have to be a weekend and fit around flying hours, and a little donation from all to Help For Heroes might held the deal..

Or we can do a hoon to cornwall and my local neck of the woods, Davidstow Airfield. All common land, everyone uses it to learn to drive. Maybe a future clotted cream run could head that way. Some great roads on the north coast too.

Yes, you can't really to any quick driving on it (amco running across most of the runway doesn't help), and the tarmac is no longer in the state it once was.

I was more thinking for static shots with a few panning shots (and maybe a rig shot or two if I can persuade someone with one to come along..)
I recon it is worth a trip over just to see what it is like...
Anyone up for a quick look sometime?

I like the sound of both of these options (although I would have to ride with one of you down there..)
I would be a bit worried about using an active RAF airfield as there are a lot of restrictions on what you can take photos of (Last time I went flying with RAF Cadets I wasn't allowed to take any photos with a helicopter in the background..)

I recon I should go and check out wisley with someone (got no transport myself!) and if it is not suited we'll have a chat tuscan_al smile

If you go to Wisley, make sure it's not dark and you don't both sit in the car and accidently keep pressing your brake lights, you might get some un-invited people wink

have you looked at Dunsfold??
