Something I never expected to see

On my travels up and down the country yesterday I managed the following.



Avg spoeed was 65 and I was just saying the other day I didnt think I could ever see over 30mpg out of these toys

Oh its quite possible. Last Friday I managed...wait for it.....33.1mpg on the (mostly) dual carriageway run to work. Really makes you smile doesn't it! Its just nice to know that its possible if you want to be economical/tight.

That's impressive, i was very pleased with 30.7 on a recent run to Oxford and back, that was without trying to hard to be gentle, just not driving like my trousers were on fire as it was all in midday traffic.
I'm going to London this weekend, daytime driving again, so it'll be interesting to see if i can better my 30.7, but i suspect 33.2 will require more restraint than i can manage.

I have a series of pictures as it got higher... I couldnt believe it.

Destroyed it later on the route back, was using back roads

saying that did do 26.7 once ...normally 21/22

Wow - nice work. I've manage 28.somethingorother but I don't remember hitting 30mpg!

I was driving north so assume thats up hill

I normally avg about the 21/22 mark as well.

My painstaking 100 mile trial at 55mph only returned 30mpg with the set up you've got!
