Hi all,
My GF has a 2001 225 TT with circa 50K miles on it - goes well and all seems in order apart from when starting from cold it starts fine but but after a few seconds it starts to splutter for about 20 seconds or so and then clears up - have had it back to the dealership we bought it from who say they can't find any fault !! but to be fair it is not an Audi dealership.

Any ideas ???
Cheers

Temp sensor. Cause havoc especially after starting on the 1.8Turbo engines. Should report a fault code.

could be secondary air pump running, causes a few issues with running on cold starts iirc. otherwise maybe MAF?

Thanks guys,

Don't know if this could be related or not but I recently noticed that something is making a buzzing and gurgling noise for a good 15 mins after switching the engine off when hot - again taken to dealer who didn't really explain but says its fine scratchchin

is it from within the dash? could be the AC, sounds like mice in the dash.

That noise after you switch the car off is the afterrun coolant pump and should be happening to cool the turbo etc.

As for the problem, I'd be tempted to change the coilpacks just for the sake of it.

Thanks Guys,

The car is still in warranty so will get it back to the supplier and request they change the coil packs.

Did they plug it into diagnostices last time to see if there are any faults reported?
