Short spa holiday in England?

Hi All,

I am after booking a short Spa retreat for the OH and I for her birthday in October. I am based in London so don't really want to drive more than 3 hours. Ideally I would like something a lot more private and boutique like than Champnies.

Any suggestions?

Bath Spa Hotel or Harington's Hotel with easy access to Thermae Bath Spa plus all the shops, pubs, restaurants and sights of Bath.

Rushton Hall near Kettering is very nice.

Having been there last week, I would say it average - at best.

Babington House would get my vote.
