Hi folks, just a reminder of our TVRCC Nth East Scotland annual event at the Grampian Transport Museum and Track in Alford Aberdeenshire (Post code = AB33 8AE) (www.gtm.org. uk) on Sunday 16th August.

This is a shared event with MG, Triumph, Lotus and other British Sports Car marques.

All TVR owners welcome. Cars generally start arriving from 10:00am onwards. Event generally finishes around 16:00hrs.

Entry fee is £5 per car. Free to the public on foot.
There will be the usual Burger Van on site, otherwise bring a packed lunch.

Usual format for this annual event with unlimited track access for £5. Indemnity form to be completed and wrist band allocated before access permitted. Access restricted to Club cars only with respect to insurances etc and due to recent incidents will be strictly controlled.

Proceeds from the Raffle will be going to the cancer charity CLAN. All prize donations welcome, just hand them in to one of the Nth East committee on arrival.

Regards
Baz

I'll be coming along to this Barry, but as the Cerb is long gone weepingI will need to park my lowly Supra in the car park paperbag

There should be a decent crowd coming from down here, kevin in this Griff, my dad in his Tuscan and one of my friends from Aberdeen with a Tuscan is going to meet up with us all.

Barry,
How do non-TVRs pass the "Club cars only" restriction to gain access to the track? Which clubs are eligible for entry? Club Lotus?

Hi,
I am new to TVR and the clubs. I have track day cover on my insurance for TVR car club events. Does this one count as a club event?
Cheers,
Neil

Essentially this is a British Sports Car Owners day including TVR, MG, Triumph, Lotus, and other British Marques run by the local TVR, MG & Triumph clubs.
Track access will be granted to all British Sports cars with the exception of hot hatches etc.
As I stated in my earlier posting, track access will be strictly controlled by completion of an indemnity form and allocation of a wrist band.
Some people may have track day insurance cover, but from experience, this is usually for official TVR track events controlled by official and trained marshalls etc.
The TVR Car club has third party public liability insurance for fully paid up club members only. This does not cover any dammage to any members vehicles involved in an incident.
Therefore where track access is permitted it is at the owners risk. If for example, a TVRCC member accidently runs over a member of the publics toes and that person puts in a claim for injury or loss of earnings as a rsult of the injury etc, then the TVRCC public liability insurance should come into affect.
If a TVRCC or any other club member spins off the track and damages the GTM property, then they will require to stump up for the costly repairs.
Hope this goes some way to answering your questions.
See you guys on Sunday.
Regards
Baz

Thanks Baz, I'll probably just come along as a spectator this time. Plans for the weekend are a bit sketchy but will try to make it.
All the best,
Neil
