Okey, little less then 2 weeks left for my boyfriends birthday and I am out of ideas!!!
Have you guys ever been given a gift that made you jump with excitement?
Even better if it was a gift from a girlfriend!
Please help!
It really does depend on what he likes, doesn't it.Have you guys ever been given a gift that made you jump with excitement?

What are his hobbies? Can you get something to do with one of them?
Cars: track driving experience.
Games: Latest whizz-bang thing.
Books: Check out his bookshelf - find the next book by one of the authors.
etc
etc
Tell him you have organised a special night with you and some of your girl friends for his Birthday night.
Then hand him a copy of Razzle and a bottle of Baby Oil as you head out the door for your night out on his birthday.
Sure fire winner every time.

I checked out that Palmer day thing but unfortunately he will be out of the country at that point!
I would love to just get naked and bring beer but unfortunately that sounds like a normal saturday night and this is kind of a special birthday so :P
The experience day stuff sounds cool but I had him drive some cars on a track last year and am thinking of that as a last way out.
As for what I can only describe as a very strange suggestion, I think he is having friends over for his birthday and I would not like to leave them like that... might get awkward...
Thanks for the help guys, any more ideas?

The gifts that I have received that mean the most to me have been things that I use often and are always around - "gifts that keep on giving" if you like.
It may seem a bit boring but a quality wallet, pen, cufflinks or watch would be my choice - you can tailor to your budget.
reference books are another decent idea (again something that he will keep going back to) - at the moment I have a real hankering for the Stirling Moss scrap book collection.
