Edinburgh Festival Fireworks

Anybody out there know whats happening with the fireworks this year ? I know its on Sunday the 6th of Sept but with Princes St being full of holes is viewing just from the Gardens this year ? Had a search on line but can't find any info.

Website suggests that Princes St will be open for it, so maybe they are going to board over the roadworks for the night?
I'd head up Calton Hill with a radio myself.

Cheers. Calton hill sounds like a good plan especially with son in tow. Will be the only night of the year that I'll be heading up there though !

I spent a Hogmanay up there, several years back. Great view of all the fireworks.

The Council are supposedly expecting to have Princes Street, between South Charlotte Street and Frederick Street open by the 6th.

But given that is the Council, they probably won't.
