Hi all

This is Dave here from the Stars Appeal, the charity of which Lord Pembroke is president.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all for your support of Supercars at Wilton House. It was a brilliant day from which we hope to have raised around £10,000-£15,000 for our Caring 4 Kids Campaign. This money will help make life better for thousands of children in hospital from Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire. If you can spare 6 minutes, please watch our short film to find out how the money will help:

Just wanted to say a few special thank yous: to Lord Pembroke for hosting the day at his beautiful home and coming up with such a fantastic idea; to the Wilton Estate staff who worked so hard in the run up to the event and on the day itself; to Jay for getting an incredible number and range of cars along (Jay, can you email me your postal address please); to all the Stars Appeal and Rotary Club volunteers; to the drivers for bringing their amazing vehicles along and, especially, to all the people who turned up and paid their hard earned cash to get in – all 6000 of you!!

Sincere thanks again for your support.

PS. Re the comments that a few cars left a bit earlier than anticipated. We are aware of this but hope it didn’t impact upon too many people’s enjoyment. Some of the driver’s had a very long day so understandably wanted to get back home. In light of this we will be sure to make the timings on the advertising more precise if we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to help organise a similar event next year – we would certainly love to!

Dear All......a million thank you’s to all those who attended and those who helped to make the day such a HUGE success!

As it was our first ever attempt at a car show there are some improvements that could be made, and hopefully if we can repeat it, will be made, namely catering. But to be honest we had no idea if we were going to get 500 or 5000 people coming. In the end we had over 6000!!!

I still keep hearing echoes of that Tuscan and the Lambo reverberating around my head and still cannot believe what an incredible job Jay did getting that unreal display of cars that even the likes of Goodwood has never seen!

Also a massive thank you to Gurston hill climb and all the marshals there who generously gave their time as well as Wilton Rotary and the Stars Appeal for the effort put in by their volunteers. Finally I would like to thank all the Wilton staff who gave up their weekend to help and to Pistonheads for the fantastic coverage.

Hopefully this can be a starting point for great things to come!
