Be a devil & pull it out and stick the new one in.. But dont push the new one all the way in.. Universal connections cant go wrong,, If you do this make sure if you need a pin number for the set your taking out....So as if you need some more clip on bits you can change back,,,,

Don't know what year yours is. I assume pre-06, but I would have thought the harness would have the right connector to plug as standard as this would have been an optional extra. Would seem daft to not have hardwired in something that simple that was an option on a car.

Hi

The connectors on the sat Nav are different to those on a CD/tape player the sat Nav uses a modern type quad lock plug and the CD/tape will use an older style ISO type plug unless it is a fairly new car in which case it should just plug straight in..

You will need to either change the plugs swapping each pin for pin and changing some of the pin types or buy an adapter lead some Audi ones will work but be aware that there are different variations of wiring configuration depending on the cars specification (Bose TV CD Bluetooth etc).

You will also need to buy a GPS antenna and mount this somewhere under the dash

you may also need to code the unit to the car for options such as Bluetooth Rev Cam TV CD MFD Etc otherwise these functions may not work properley, although thinking on if you didnt have nav before then you may not have some of the option anyway..
Although these can all be retro fitted..

I have fitted many of these units any question please ask....
