Apart from his comments about Schumacher not racing at Valencia he also made mention that he is in the final knockings of wrapping up a BTCC deal.

Not a big fan of the BTCC personally but it will be great to see Johnny racing on these shores again. Any idea which team he will be with?

He tested for Team Dynamics at Rockingham a few weeks ago, and ran a Civic up the hill at Goodwood.

So a replacement for Dave Pinkey or James Thompson you'd think.

I'd sincerely hope it wasn't to replace the latter.

Thompson can't do the final 3 rounds due to commitments with the Danish championship and V8's down under so it'd be him, sadly.

That's fairly understandable then.

Herbert was a second off Thommo's pace at the test and you'd hope he'd pare that down considerably with more laps under his belt.

Will be doing well to score highly in his first few races but I will be interested to watch him try!
