Death on Oxford Street.
Discussion
Story on London news this evening regarding a bloke who tried to throw his girlfriend through the front window of a shop on Oxford St.
Tried 3 times before the window finally smashed. He died almost immediately after getting impaled on large shard of glass, she ended up with minor cuts and bruises.
Epic fail.

Unless it was a decades old shop front, there shouldn't have been any shards anyway. Toughened safety glass will shatter, and laminated wouldn't have broken up into shards
I reckon the shop fitters might be getting a tap too.
that reminds me...

Hello BG,
I've got a PVC double glazed bay window with one two small pull up windows at the top , and one of them has somehow got some moisture in it, mainly I supposed because I leave it open for fresh air when I'm on the PC, and I guess the rain fall over time has gotten in. Anyway, is there some way I can get rid of it without resorting to reglazing it?

Regardless, laminated/toughened glass isn't there to stop idiots getting impaled when they smash through it. It's there to improve security and isn't cheap so I would guess it's not as common as people think.

But went for the cheap glass! Fair enough.
Are they legally obliged to fit laminated glass? Can laminated glass end up with a serrated edge (which is my guess).
Either way, it didn't shatter into a million pieces like in the movies then
Toughened glass shatters into tiny pieces(car side windows) laminated will not (windscreens). Are they legally obliged to fit laminated glass? Can laminated glass end up with a serrated edge (which is my guess).
