Essex Scameras do not work

Yesterday in the local paper(Evening Echo) there was an article on road deaths in Essex, according to said article there was 102 deaths on the roads in Essex last year.
That figure is bad so the powers that be use it as an excuse for more scameras, static and mobile.
Now on the local radio (EssexFM) there is an advert from Essex police regarding drink driving over the christmas period. This advert states that there was over 70 fatal accidents on the roads of Essex last year that were caused by drink driving
Correct me if I am wrong but if there was over 70 fatal accidents there could be 80+deaths. That makes 80% of the deaths on the roads of Essex last year caused by drink driving.
To me it is obvious what the problem is and a camera cannot cure it

Now now, you've forgotten how to be a good citizen. When they say most deaths are from speeding to stop you speeding, then say most deaths are from drink driving as part of a anti-drink driving campaign, you not supposed to have the audacity of independent thought to realise the two aren't compatible.
