I know this might come across as cheeky and a bit forward, but I'm on the hunt for a huge favour. As one or two of you might be aware I'm getting hitched in just under 2 months and as you can imagine the important things were sorted first off. Lady, venue, honeymoon and car.

This is where it's gone wrong, my future mother-in-law's friend was going to give me a lift to the venue in his DB9. However, he's now had to pull out for logistical reasons, he's coming from deepest darkest Wales and won't be able to 'get me to the church on time'.

So, it's at this point I'm humbly (and slightly embarrassed) asking for an offer of kindness from the SAS! Is there anybody around on Saturday 3rd October, who would be able to help me arrive in style to Old Windsor by 1pm (I'll be in Harrow staying with my old man the night before).

I would hire a car, but as the DB9 driver has pulled out at the last minute all the budget has been assigned, and then a little more! I'd be able to cough up for the petrol money and a favourite bottle of your tipple if there is anybody able to help.

Thanks in advance!

Grey TVR Sagaris, as per profile photo? I'm between Reading and Basingstoke, so it's not a million miles away...

Mark, looks like you have some good offers already but if they go pear-shaped, let me know and I'll give my Nob a good clean for the occasion

Mark - you've already got loads of offers, but if you're still on the hunt for options then I'd be happy to give you a lift in the Datsun? We may have to take the long way round though so you don't arrive too early... biggrin

Gents! Firstly, huge huge thanks for the offers, and to Tuscan_Al's selfless offer to run around all day with the bridesmaids, very kind, but I'm not sure we'd get them back in time!

It seems odd to have to pick 'just' one, but Pat Cobra I'll be sending you an email to double check details with you if that's ok smile As a kid growing up I had a model of a 427 Cobra on my shelf and short of a 250 GTO I really couldn't think of a better car to turn up in!
Also, I'm sure I've seen the car running around Harrow but your profile says it's a 2002, which would be after I moved away. So maybe there is another Cobra running around.

Thanks again guys, I'm really blown away by all the offers!

Looks like you have your car now, but if you need a backup I'm sure I can do an Aston DBS, or at least a 599
