I thought that maybe jaguar enthusiastics out there may be interested in a project on a Jaguar XJR and Vauxhall PA Cresta hybrid currently being under taken.
go to www.ourcustoms.co.uk and click on 'Cresta'

WOW!

I actually own a PA that needs restoration (A LHD one here in America... '62 Velox) and an XJ... the thought has crossed my mind, but the truth is, LHD PAs are so damned rare that I am saving this one and keeping it stock.

Have heard of a few PA's in America, suspect they suffered less from the rust bug than those here in the UK. They use salt to de-ice the roads which dosn't help. All the cars I 'modernise' are one step away from the scrap yard, couldn't bring myself to sacrifice a good one.

Wonderful job I take my hat off to you!

Was doing something similar-ish to a MK1 Ford Consul 1956

We used an XJS front bed with XJ40 rear and widened the car 13" and converted to a 2 door.

Unfortunately never got finished the chassis we made with the Jag beds now has a cobra sitting on it with a Dodge V8 we had......hey ho!

Really would like to see some pics when it is finished definately my kind of conversion......well done wink

Shame about the consul, like the shape of the mk1 it would look good as a 2 door. Keep an eye on the web site for more pics, it will be back from the painters soon. If you send me an e mail i will notify you of the updates to the site.
