Anyone stayed in the Glasshouse? Any good?
We stayed in LeMonde recently which was very nice, but fancy trying something different. We're heading down in October
Glasshouse by all accounts is fantastic! We stayed in LeMonde recently which was very nice, but fancy trying something different. We're heading down in October

Le Monde, certainly the bar and eating areas are 'super-chav-tastic'. Went a few times and now avoid like the plague.
Stayed at Glasshouse last year, bit dissappointed to be honest. Room was OK but nothing startling - good views out to gardens at the back. Hotel serves breakfast only - other meals are room service and only an honesty bar. Personally I prefer a real bar and decent public areas. Apart from the roof garden there are very few here. Strange feel altogether from this place especially considering the price. Much preferred Tigerlily on George Street but am sure there are others just as good.
I was very dissappointed with the glasshouse, deffo not a 5 star hotel, its essentially a posh travel inn with very little in the way of facilities. The TV was mounted on the wall badly, the lights in the room never worked and the wall paper was hangining off the wall....
The honesty bar is a joke and the whole place had an empty but pretentious feel. I have stayed in better hotels for less money! Once again we were Very Dissapointed with the Glasshouse.
The best hotel in Scotland in my mind is still Ardanaiseig House Hotel, Its unbelievably exclusive and you get treated like the only guests of the house....amazing! Recommended
