Hi all, got married on Saturday and off on honeymoon tomorrow. I want to arrange for something nice in our room on arrival - what's the norm?

We went on a tour around Europe for our honeymoon. The Mrs booked the hotels, and told each one we were on honeymoon. A couple of them put a bottle of chilled champagne in the room waiting for us.

I would say a dozen red roses and some bubbly would be the logical choice, unless you're into leather, whips, rubber, etc...

However, I think you may have asked the wrong group of people. Expect some rather 'inventive' suggestions.

As suggested, let the hotel know its your honeymoon, they may have some good ideas they can offer you, might be complimentary too.

red roses are naff. The hotel room should have flowers anyway. Champagne is the key. Make sure the hotel is briefed not to wake youin the morning. The last thing you want is a chambermaid knocking on the door (unless you are a fantasist who hopes the chambermaid will join you in a threesome).
