Well I'm progressing slowly through this, now level 24, and I was wondering on what options I should be going for weapons wise.

Recently switched one of my perks to 'last stand' which seems slightly better than martyrdon, however would welcome suggestions for weapons in all classes. Still haven't tried shotgun at all.

Noticed that it doesn't always pay to fit the newest upgrade that you can get, fitted silencer to M4 and grip to M60 but ended up back with iron sights (which I hate) so refitted the red dot again.

i have P90 silenced with overkill an i ues the shotgun (semi auto one) as a 2nd gun, 3xfrag and stopping power. Thats my headquarters and small map class. My other fav is P90 silenced with overkill an i use R700 sniper with claymore and stopping power. Thats my search and destroy or big open map class.

I quite liked the mini-uzi or P90 for close quarters.

Good call, the shotties are very under rated on the smaller maps. Combine them with an assault rifle on the other maps with a lot of indoor parts like Crossfire and it is a great combo.

Always found the shotgun a bit unforgiving, if you miss, or someone is just out of range (say 10ft+) then you i usually end up toast.

It is if you actually aim. I tend to shoot without aiming. If you aim then it seems to spread the force more. I also use steady aim. Like fish in a barrel.

Depends whether you play hardcore or gay core.

For hardcore I tend to use a silenced M4 carbine and UAV Jammer as this gives you plenty of opportunity to shoot someone without them knowing you're there.

If however you play non hardcore then you just need to go for power as people just don't want to die, so I use an AK47 with red dot site and Stopping power.

Well, I suck, so can't really give much advice. But I tend to just use the M4 with red dots. Then steal someone else's gun later on to have two. Oh, and Stopping Power and Claymores.

When I am playing Hardcore (which I normaly do) then I tend to use a silenced p90 (this can easily changed for silenced G36C, M4, MP5 or AK47 for getting the chalanges out of the way) with UAV jammer, deadly scilence and 3 x frag. For sniping its the same as above but with claymores and a Barret 50cal.

My choice is an M16 silenced with UAV jammer and juggernaut - just like my farts, silent but deadly.

For hardcore i'm currently using silenced P90 and RPD with a red dot sight as i'm trying to get the gold M60. On normal modes I have a few classes - P90 with red dot for close quarters, gold AK47 with red dot for mass murder at medium range (people just can't handle it) and gold Dragunov for sniping, all with Stopping power. I also have a silenced AK47 for creeping about and S+D.

I change my setups every 5 minutes though as I complete the challenges, am now completing LMG's on Hardcore and then will finally attack the shotguns.

Semi-auto shotty + 3 x Frag + UAV jammer + whatever the sprint perk is called = the best set up for CQB.

Otherwise its sniper + pistol.

If you play Hardcore like me, UAV jammer is essential.

Hardcore Team Death match is what I play the most. I tend to use all five custom slots as opposed to just a couple. All my classes have UAV jammer no matter what I play.

Sniper-Barret,Silenced USP,Claymores,Iron lungs.

SMG-MP5,Silenced USP,Extra ammo,Steady aim(I do use a silenced P90 with double tap if a game is not going my way).

LMG-RPD,Gold DE,Grip,Steady aim.

Assault1-M14 with red dot,Gold DE,3xfrag,Deep penatration.

Assault2-Varries between G36c red dot and M4 red dot(we all know M16's are for noobs biggrin Extra ammo and deep penatration.

M4 with red dot and P90 with red dot the only two guns you'll need.

For normal play with stopping power, martyrdom and 3 frags
Hardcore use UAV jammer, last stand and 3 frags

It does me well and I'm pretty handy

Depending on Map/Mission my preferences are:

M16 or G36c with red dot sight
RPD with Grip
MP5 with silencer
R700

For large maps: M16 silenced UAV jammer and claymores, sometimes unsilenced depending on map.

For small maps: P60, stopping power, deep impact

Dunno if it's right but I enjoy it....

Me and my buddy (RideMyFeathers <<< his PSN). Some of you have played with him before, in the PH games, he is a gold cross, both use this setup which we stole from when we were in Major League Gaming.

MP5 with Red Dot Sight (and camo of your choice... Blue Tiger for me.... I've got Red but it looks st IMO)
Gold Desert Eagle

Special Nades x 3
Stopping Power
Dead Silence

It's a good all rounder class because anyone in close quarters range isn't going to last more than two or three bullets to the chest, and it's also good for sneaking up on people/Ninja Defuses and stuff like that.
Just my two cents biggrin

Why UAV jammer AND silenced? I thought if it was silenced you don't show up, and if you had UAV Jammer then you didn't have to have a silencer?

UAV Jammer, doesnt show your possition on the map but if you shot your weapon you will show as a red dot still.

Silence you dont show as a red dot.

Hence using both for pure Stealthness
