I have just had a conversation about remapping my Murcielago and the company have said about 4 hours work £1,000 and I should see minimums of an extra 25BHP and 30lb torque.

Has anyone else done this ?

Also has anyone used Power-mount Performance in Slough ?

Many thanks any information will be greatly received smile

I'd be very suspicous, often these remaps on normaly aspirated cars are fudges where they massage the power curve leaving a hole at one point but the peak unmoved hardly.

So it feels faster but in reality isn't, there is a surge whereas before it was a more gentle build.

Also, would you really notice 30bhp top end over the 600 odd it already has?

I can't remember the last time I hit peak power on the Gallardo let alone in a Murci.

I have to say I'd tread carefully. I've never heard of one being chipped before and I'm sure there's a reason for it.

I'd want to see independant rolling road traces before and after to know you had gains all over before I handed my money over.

They do the rolling road tests before and after while you wait and you watch them and the results as they happen.

Let us know how you get on, I'd be interested to know what the difference is like.

I'd be very interested too.

The LP670-4 SV is mapped for US 86 (or lower) octane fuel. I'm not sure about the 6.2 Murci - but would be suprised if that was the case too.

Which means that if you can re-map to suit 98 octane - you should see a healthy uplift.

Can you pass on details of who is performing the uplift?

Thanks

Anjum

What was the outcome of the remapping? Anybody know?

Still really keen to get the SV engine running as it should - and not as uncle sam seems to want it....

The easiest and safest way to increase the performance of the Murcielago engine is by air filters and a new exhaust system.

These two simple steps will easily liberate about 40 bhp safely and effectively, and what's more, the engine management system will re-set itself accordingly.

If you want to know what I'm talking about, do some research on the 40th Anniversary Murcielago to see what they actually got out of that engine with just a different exhaust and filters.

Anjum, if you need any help, just call.

Happy New Year everyone,

Ruttboy.
