..........ethnic minorities....!! How before someone shouts ya big fat racialist you, this was an articvle on the ONE SHOW, about an initiative called "Mosaic", that is trying to get ethnic minorities into the countryside as apparently, fewer than 1% have ever been.....
And to help fund this, there is £1Million of lotto cash to enable them to visit in an organised group, then go back and spread the word within their particular "ethnic circle"! ...
Now maybe this is a fair idea, but the article followed a group of people from Sheffield, who travelled a whole 50 miles, to some country park in Yorkshire, by minibus, for a day, and apparently, this costs the organisers £250 per person.......
WTF!!!
It appears that this is mostly due to the volunteers from the minorities being paid to go for a walk, then reporitng back and encouraging others to go....
WTF is this country coming to when this actually appears to be a good use of cash to anyone, nevermind those with the power to dish it out.
PS any ethinc minoroties want a trip to my local country park, I can get three of you in for £200 a pop, and I will buy the ice creams too!

t load of dimes' now?Wasn't there a park, or something similar shut down because it wasn't attracting enough ethic visitors? I remember a thread along those lines on here at some point. I tried search, but as you know, you are better off looking in your own socks for a thread, than using the search function.

Very good point. If they will pay a black, brown or yellow person £100 to go to the country, then they must pay a white person the same amount, or fall foul of the Race Relations Act. After all, treating people differently according to the colour of their skin is the very definition of racism.Live by the sword, die by the sword.
