What to buy...
Discussion
Hi guys, I'm new to this forum so be gentle with me!
I currently wear an Omega Seamaster (full size) automatic which I bought new a fair few years ago (5 or 6). Now this watch is due a service and from what I understand will take 8 weeks to be done. So (and bear with me on this one - I managed to convince the gf that is was a good idea) I need another watch to wear whilst this one is off on it's 'holiday'. After all a man without a watch is an undressed man in my eyes.
So thoughts were that I get myself a second hand Breitling. The preference is for a leather strap model as my Omega obviously has a metal band. Not really sure what the budget it but somewhere between £1000 and £1750 (I'd prefer it to be nearer the first price point but hey...). What I would really like is a Navitimer but I am not sure my budget will stretch to one, although I have seen some go within my budget. I have been looking at Breitling Colt Chronos and they seem to fit the bill also. Saying that I also found a Breitling Chronospace (quartz) which has a small digital display on the dial which I thought I'd hate (both being quartz and having a digital element) but it actually quite appealed especially as it had just had a breitling overhaul and went for under £500 - it seemed a bargain to me.
So, I am open to ideas from you guys. Where should I be looking for second hand Breitlings and and advice or suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Do a google search for second hand Breitlings, there's plenty around, companies like watches.co.uk and Blowers spring to mind, you may just be able to pick up a Navitimer for that money.
You could also check out some of the sales areas on the forums such as tz-uk, Breitlingsource and watchuseek.
Let us know what you go for in the end.
