Apologies if this should be in Food but I thought I'd whack it in here first.

I am about to move in to a new place and am in the process of buying new everything under the orders of SWMBO. Something that I would like to buy for the kitchen is a spice rack that comes with various jars of spices. Am I imagining this exists? If not, would you be able to point me in the direction of where I could buy such a magnificent product?

A quick half-hearted Google didn't bring up any results.

Cheers

Might be a bit hard to make my own spices

Is that the kind of negative attitude Churchill had when faced with the might of the Nazi's?

No, he smoked a cigar, smashed back a whisky and set about the blasted jerry!

Contact the makers of any 1970s TV sitcoms and see if you can have their old cast-offs? Probably the last resting place of the spice rack as an attractive kitchen installation?

That one is the business, my long search is over after a mere 25 minutes.

Why? The stuff ends up going off and never enough quantities. I have a spice cupboard to borrow a phrase. Piled with all the goodies for good grub and you would need a rack with over 50 jars to accommodate that. Plus I can make jumbo loads of garam masala for example of keep the cinnamon as bought or vanilla etc.

I have all the bits and bobs like that, I just want to get a basic spice rack to have on the side in my new kitchen to just grab the odd bit here and there and also for decoration.

Then you should have a mans spice rack, get some old jam jars and nail the lids to the bottom of the cupboards. You can keep nuts and bolts in them as well.....
