Ten years today, still smiling

Hi All,
Today is exactly 10 years to the day that I became the proud owner of my Moonraker Black Precat Griff. I was running a TR6 at the time that I had built from the ground up, and had owned for around 13 years - I well remember the sleepless nights worrying if I was doing the right thing in moving on, I was having to sell the TR to help pay for the Griff. When you have built up a car with your own hands you can get very attached to it.
That morning I walked into Portfields in Chichester to collect the car I will never forget, all dry mouthed and heart pounding. Had I done the right thing? Yes! I drove straight down to South Devon in it, and got back home to Sussex around midnight. I didnt mean to, it just happened.
The Griff was a revelation after driving the TR, obviously a quantum leap in handling and performance, and have never looked back. I have absolutely no desire to ever sell, and probably never will in the foreseable future. I really dont know what I would replace it with anyway. Some may say a bit of a blinkered aproach but I'm happy, and thats what counts. BTW, the guy that bought my TR still has it as well.
Bad points about ownership - When drying the car water dribbles down the door skin from the mirror mountings. Having to listen to old chestnuts about reliability issues from bar room experts with zero ownership experience.
Good points - Everything else. I do all my own maintenence, only using a specialist when absolutely neccesary, I love the fact that you can do virtually everything at home with a good tool kit and a bit of help from the PH massive.
If in doubt, buy one, and go drive.
