£5 Notes - Are they being phased out?
Discussion
Yet again I ended up with a pocket full of change becasue the cashier had no £5 notes. Are they in short supply? Are they beng phased ut by stealth?
Have the Bank of England stopped printing them? If so I must of missed the announcement.
I cannot remember the last time I saw a "new", good condition £5 note. Anyone else seen one latlt?

I think they should be phased out, just give us a £5 coin.
we should reintroduce the £100 note while we are at it.
No way - I hate a pocket full of change. Give me notes any day.we should reintroduce the £100 note while we are at it.

£100 pound notes are a bad idea too. People would be awkward about accepting them, plus it's nice to get more than one piece of paper out of a trip to the cash machine!

People are awkward enough about £50 notes as it is!we should reintroduce the £100 note while we are at it.

I don't know if the £100 note comment was serious, but I would quite like them to be in circulation.
