This weekend Thruxton is hosting the BTRA truck racing festival, which includes Clubman's, Porsche's, Pickup Trucks and the trucks themselves. I have been for the last few years watching these monsters racing panel to panel.

It never fails to amuse me watching a tractor unit similar to things we see going in and out of Tesco's grabbing an armful of opposite lock!!

Time table here!

Dear AP,
Don't believe you, as never overtook a TVR on the way home, and positive that I would have done ! Orange overalls make you invisible to the BiB..................

Probably even overtake you on the pub run tomorrow

I took my 8yr old son to this. We were both very impressed (1st time I've seen Truck Racing).
We sat in the Grandstand by the chicane for most races and they were chucking the trucks around like saloon cars.
Would recommend it to all. Very entertaining.
Can't recommend the 45min queue to get out of the car park though!

Glad you enjoyed it. That's where we were sat at the far left, gave me a clear view with the camera along Woodham Hill and Brooklands without the safety fence being in the shot, plus you get to see the fun of the chicane biggrin If I get time this week I'll post some pics up (they are still on the camera at the moment).

I loved the remote control trucks by the main gate which were making big truck noises as they drove about. It cracked me right up rofl
