Had a great laugh last night. Had a lads get together after a long spell of not turning out as a group. In that spell one of my mates has become a copper, done his two years, is a bona fide officer of the law. Now don't get me wrong, we are not a bunch of 17 year old chavs, all mid to late thirties with a few quid to throw around. My other mates current "project" is a monster of an impreza, properly nice car, no metallic blue, or gold alloys or WRC spoilers, nice and discreet, but a small fortune spent on brakes, suspension and a 'few' choice performance parts. end result is about 350bhp BUT peak torque is at about 3500rpm! Quick doesn't even begin to cover it.

Now we are all old friends, and the owner of the impreza is an incredibly quiet and unassuming bloke, but is suitably proud of his creation, and in fairness his car is point to point one of the quickest things i have ever been in, now last night he seemed to totally disregard my other mates current employment and show him what the car could do,

Talk about a bloke being stuck between a rock and a hard place. But respect to my mate for remaining one of the lads and not rebooting to copper mode! He did have a word when we stopped though!!!!

I'll bet that every police car I've ever seen driving at speed with the nee-nors on is responding to an emergency call... smile

Ok... confused

Perhaps, due to the build up (and the seemingly arbitrary title), I thought there would be more to the story than 'off duty cop goes in friends fast car, doesn't arrest friend'...
