Looking for a Sat Nav unit that has a decent size speed reading to be used in a vintage car as the speedo is useless.

ANy suggestions?

Tomtom isn't bad if you turn off the other info.

Best option IMO would be a PDA and software like GPS Speed Sentry.

I'm pretty sure the latest Garmin range can show speed full screen. You could always go along to your local halfords and try one out as they normally have them on display. Failing that currys stores normally have a few out.

I have a Garmin 660, this has a good speed readout - used it on VMAX

Two options are available - if you are not navigating, then the speed is shown in the bottom left

You can also have a large speed display permanently showing, and rely on the voice directions for naviation ( or switch back to the map view as necessary)

I have a Garmin 7200 (seven inch screen jobbie) in the race transporter, even with my eyesight I can read speed easily from 4 feet away. They have dropped a lot in price recently. I got it new off Ebay.
